Best African Safaris

Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most popular park, as evidenced by the number of tourists who visit it each year. Named after the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II, after her visit to the park in 1952.

Famous for tree-climbing lions in Ishasha, crater lakes, forested gorges, savannah plains, swamps, rivers and the beautiful Kazinga Channel home to a wealthy wildlife.

The park has the largest number of bird species in Uganda and any protected area in East Africa. The pursuit of chimpanzees takes place in the “underground” forest of Kyambura Gorge and in the nearby Kalinzu Forest.
